Season Opener: Callisto Quartet (2/10/2024 7:30PM)

The Callisto Quartet returns to Blacksburg to open our season.  Praised for their “lush intensity and bravado” the American-Canadian quartet brings together four musicians who share a deep passion for bringing chamber music to audiences around the world. Since their inception in 2016, the Callisto Quartet has garnered top prizes in nearly every major international chamber music competition and has been hailed by audiences across the globe.  They are currently the Fellowship Quartet in Residence at Yale University.  Their concert program includes Mozart Quartet, K. 428, a new composition written in 2016 by Paul Wiancko called “Lift;” and Ravel Quartet;
