Season Opener: Viano Quartet (9/20/2025 7:30PM)

Musica Viva presents the Viano Quartet, recent recipients of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant 2025. This amazing quartet returns to Blacksburg after a successful performance here last season. Since winning first prize at the 2019 Banff International Competition, they have traveled all over the globe. Critical reviews praise their virtuosity and expressive playing.  Program includes Haydn String Quartet No. 41 in D Major, Op. 50/6, Mendelssohn String Quartet No. 3 in D Major, op. 44/1, and Beethoven String Quartet No. 12 in Eb Major, op. 127.
