Season Opener: Ivalas Quartet (10/10/2026 7:30PM)

Musica Viva welcomes back the Ivalas Quartet after a very successful performance here in 2024. Hailed by The Strad magazine for playing with “tremendous heart and beauty,” the Ivalas Quartet has been changing the face of classical music since its inception in 2017. They have won top prizes in many string quartet competitions. Their educational work has also been supported by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the New York Philharmonic, the Midori Foundation, and they just completed a year as the inaugural Fellowship ensemble of the Kaufman Music Center. Program includes Mozart Quartet in C Major (“Dissonance”), Florence Price Five Folksongs in Counterpoint, and Maurice Ravel String Quartet in F Major.
